VETERINARY CONSULTATION WITH A SECOND CHANCES VETERINARIAN – IN PERSON OR ON THE PHONE
There is a professional service fee for consultations (in-person, phone, email, text). A 10-minute minimum consultation fee (0.2 hours) is required when a consultation with a DVM is combined with an office visit/examination. Consultations are available for a consultation not in conjunction with an examination as well (in-person, phone, email, text) . A 15-minute minimum consultation fee (0.3 hours) is required to and to be paid in advance of the consultation.
Most professional services [including consultations] are charged at an hourly billing rate rounded in 1/10th unit increments (6-minute). While exam & consultation visits have pre-determined set charges, it is important to note that the charge reflects a specified amount of time only. Visits extending over the specified time may be subject to additional professional service fees.
Professional service rates for consultations may include but are not limited to phone, email, & text communications, virtual (telemedicine/teleadvice/teletriage) visits & consultations, prescription (refill) requests & approvals, information assembly & research – including previous medical record collection or review, symptom/disease investigation, outside specialist consultation, and treatment, therapy, or medication adjustments.
If additional consultation time is needed it will be charged in 0.1 hourly increments and charged once the consultation including record keeping has been completed.
